- I am available to execute translations from Russian & Hebrew into English on a freelance basis, and to edit texts in English.
- I am an American-born native English speaker.
- For over 20 years (until 1 January 2003) I worked as an English-language editor and translator from Russian & Hebrew to English in a government office. While there I translated many different types of materials. I have also translated on a private basis.

Several chapters in In the Land of the Golden Fleece – The Jews of Georgia, History and Culture, published by the Diaspora Museum, Tel Aviv, 1992 (translated from Russian).
- A History of the Ararat Publishing Society by Avraham Greenbaum, Rubin Mass, Jerusalem, 1998 (translated from Hebrew).
- Numerous articles in the CIS Environment and Disarmament Yearbook 2001, 2002, & 2003 of the Hebrew University Mayrock Center (translated from Russian), edited by Prof. Zeev Wolfson.
- YIVO Encyclopedia of Eastern European Jewry, edited by Gershon D. Hundert and Jeffrey P. Edelstein (To be published) (I translated many dozens of articles for this encyclopedia during the years 2004 and 2005, from Russian and Hebrew into English.)
- I have a Ph.D. from Northwestern University in Russian history, with minors in European and American history. My own published writings include a scholarly book (Troubled Waters, The Origins of the 1881 Anti-Jewish Pogroms in Russia, U. of Pittsburgh Press, 1990) and a number of articles in professional history journals.
- I have a broad background in history, the humanities, and social sciences, as well as traditional Jewish sources.
